Appetite Creative Top 5 food list in Cannes

Published by Appetite Creative

The Cannes Lion will see this year its 66th annual festival in the city that bears its name. This year will see great speakers and figures such as Gary Vaynerchuk, Dwyane Wade, Arianna Huffington and Steven Pinker with themes focusing on inclusivity and diversity in the workplace, creativity, balance between purpose and profits, and integrating technology as a part of storytelling. This year’s festival promises to deliver some great insights from the speakers. At the same time, Cannes has always played a crucial role in the great atmosphere that reigns throughout the five-day event.

There are several aspects of Cannes, and the south of France as a whole,  that give both the city and that whole region a charm unseen in other areas of the world. The scenery is just breaktaking. Its climate is sunny and moderate all year long, drawing visitors at any moment of the year. Its beaches are amongst some of the best in the world.

There is just one drawback to all these amazing features, the price tag. Visiting the city is quite expensive, eating in Cannes can become a burden on any wallet. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, giving anyone the energy boost to fully wake up and take on the day. Lunch and dinner are the perfect moments to refuel in order to keep energized for the remainder of the day. With a line-up of speakers as such, skipping breakfast would be a foolish idea, let alone any other meals.

So we have helped create a  list of the top 5 places where to eat in Cannes without breaking the bank, thus allowing you to keep fueled throughout the busy agenda, and allow you to perhaps do fewer trips to the good old sturdy back up the McDonalds opposite the Palais ;)

  1. Citronelle (16 Rue Bivouac Napoléon; Wednesday-Friday from 10:00am-5:30pm, Saturday-Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm)

A healthy mind in a healthy body goes the saying. Citronelle has turned it into a reality. With its fresh ingredients, the restaurant has created a healthy menu along with a salad bar that will keep you fueled throughout the day. For 6€, you can get a homemade salad that will give you enough fuel for the whole day. If you are more in the mood for something on the go, you can grab one of their sandwiches for 4.50€.

  1. Rouvi (18 Rue Louis Nouveau; Mondays and Fridays from 12:00–2:30 pm, Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays from 12:00–2:30 pm and 7:00–9:30 pm)

For those who are always on the lookout for the hidden treasure, Rouvi is a great find. Their simple yet filling menu of shawarma, bagel and cheeseburger will keep you fueled. Their salty and crispy french fries will prove to be the perfect in-between-meal snack that will keep you energized for the remainder of the day.
