Lost at Sea

In March 2023, Appetite Creative collaborated with Lost at Sea to create, design, and build the Lost at Sea game. The game, hosted on Solana blockchain, challenges players to navigate water-based courses and compete against opponents to earn $WAVE tokens or other cryptocurrencies. Appetite Creative was tasked with designing a comprehensive Game Design Document (GDD) to address all aspects of the game and its challenges.

Challenge

The primary challenge was to develop an engaging and immersive game that appeals to a wide audience while incorporating blockchain technology for cryptocurrency rewards. The game needed to offer a seamless user experience with intuitive gameplay and vibrant visuals.

Solution

Appetite Creative designed and developed the Lost at Sea game, featuring six levels, power-ups, and customizable options for players. The game's interface is user-friendly, allowing players to choose levels, characters, and opponents. Additionally, the game integrates blockchain technology for cryptocurrency rewards and the option to buy and sell NFTs. The team also ensured that a portion of the proceeds from the game would be donated to the Team Seas foundation, dedicated to ocean cleanup efforts.

Result

Lost at Sea received positive feedback from players and stakeholders, with its engaging gameplay and immersive experience. The game's integration of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency rewards attracted a wide audience, ranging from gamers to cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
